The Islamic city is one of the concepts that has been repeatedly mentioned in the researches about the relationship between the city and urban planning, with Islamic culture and values. This research has tried to reveal the possibility of applying the values ​​of Islamic urbanism in today's era and for the world. The identity of each city is determined by the characteristics and privileges of that city in a period compared to the previous period. The components and elements that form the shape of the city, the way they are combined and the time factor, all have the ability to evoke meaning, increase the ability to create a mental image, create a sense of place and urban identity. This research, due to the importance of the subject, conducted a research with a descriptive-analytical method based on library and documentary studies with the aim of extracting identification identifiers of the urban development sector in Islamic cities. The issue of the Iranian-Islamic city has always been faced with different approaches and every thinker, scientist and expert has looked at it from a different angle and provided a definition according to their own data. Based on this, in order to manifest Islamic values ​​in the body of the city, this research identifies values ​​that can show its identity by appearing in an Islamic complex.
