English

In this research, the amount of energy consumption and the resulting greenhouse gas emissions in Gorgan city were evaluated and analyzed. For this purpose, the demand and supply model of the city of Gorgan was developed based on the base scenario and energy consumption improvement scenarios using the LEAP model until 1414 (2035) considering the base year 2016 (2016). In recent years, various solutions have been proposed to optimize energy consumption, which are among the most important strategies for reducing energy consumption and environmental emissions on an urban scale. These solutions are generally: 1- gradually increasing the price of energy carriers according to the law of targeting subsidies, 2- energy management on the side of the city's energy demand, 3- development of renewable energy technologies on the demand side, and 4- increasing the share of CNG in the urban transportation sector. First, each of these solutions was evaluated in the form of a scenario in the model environment, and then their impact on energy consumption and environmental emissions was investigated. Finally, a new scenario was defined under the name of energy policy of Gorgan city, which is the result of the combination of the four mentioned scenarios and represents the simultaneous implementation of all solutions to improve energy and environmental emissions of Gorgan city. At the end of the research, some suggestions on optimizing energy consumption based on the energy policy scenario of Gorgan city have been presented.
